Dedicated repeat prescription query telephone line

Repeat prescription phone line

We have introduced a dedicated telephone line for our patients to ask questions about their repeat prescriptions.

You can reach this service by calling 01780 437 017 and choosing Option 3. The telephone line is available Monday to Friday from 10am - 11am and 3pm - 4.30pm.

Dr Gavin Cattigan, GP Partner at The Stamford Surgery, said: “A number of our patients take medicine regularly and have a repeat prescription set up, allowing them to order medication without needing to see a clinician every time. Our recent Patient Survey highlighted that patients wanted an easy way to ask questions about their repeat prescriptions. In response, we have introduced a dedicated telephone line specifically for repeat prescription queries to better support our patients. While prescriptions cannot be ordered via this telephone line, there are numerous other ways for patients to order their repeat prescriptions."

NHS Account

The NHS App is a convenient and secure way to access NHS services online. You can download it on your smartphone or tablet from the Google Play Store or the App Store. If you have an NHS Account, you can log in to order your repeat prescription through the NHS App or NHS website. Those without an NHS Account can visit the official NHS App webpage to learn how to set up an account.

Systmonline

Systmonline is our online service that enables you to manage your healthcare needs, including requesting repeat prescriptions. You can access it securely from your home PC, tablet, or mobile phone. If you have a Systmonline account, you can log in via the surgery website to order your repeat prescription. In person

You can drop your repeat prescription slip in the prescriptions box by reception at St Mary’s, or in the post box on the dispensary counter at Sheepmarket.

You will receive a text message when your repeat prescription is ready for collection from a dispensary at St Mary’s or Sheepmarket. If you normally collect your prescription from a local pharmacy, you should liaise with them regarding the collection of your prescription. If you would like to name or change your designated pharmacy, you can speak to a member of the dispensary team at St Mary’s or Sheepmarket.

For more information about repeat prescriptions, including dispensary opening hours, please visit Repeat Prescriptions or read the information on notice boards inside the surgery.
