Patient Group AGM
The Annual General Meeting of Stamford Surgeries’ Patient Participation Group took place on Tuesday 21 January and it included a presentation from the practice, plus talks from the Integrated Care Board and a local councillor.
PPG Chair, John Morphy Godber said:
‘We are lucky to have an active Patient Participation Group and send regular information and updates to people who want more information. We have set up an email group to subscribe to receive emails so please see our posters in the surgery for more information.
To get emails and updates about the Patient Participation Group you can join their email group. Sign up by sending a blank email.
Telephone callback
In response to feedback we have piloted a call-back system to help cut waiting times on the telephone, particularly at peak time. If there is a queue you should hear an automated message asking if you want to be called back.
If so, your position in the queue will be held and a member of our team will phone you back when you reach the top of the queue.
We originally piloted the scheme for a few hours per day in response to feedback from the patient survey, but it has proved so popular that is is now a permanent option for you if you are calling. Please remember that you can also submit requests through Anima if that is easier for you.

Flu is still around in February
The best way to stay protected is to get vaccinated each year, as flu strains change over time. It can range from mild to severe and sometimes cause serious health problems.
The peak time for flu and other winter illnesses is in December, January and February, so it's important to take steps to protect yourself and others.
