Teaching Involvement

Lakeside Healthcare Stamford is a Training Practice and is involved in the training of fully qualified Doctors who are experienced in hospital medicine and now wish to pursue a career in General Practice.

These Doctors are with us for a period of up to one year, working as part of our Practice team. You may be offered an appointment with them in the course of our normal Surgery appointments system.

The practice also participates in the training of medical students from the University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine.  These students are in the earlier stages of their medical training and attend in different years of their study.  You may be offered an appointment with a medical student.  All medical student appointments are completed in conjunction with and under the supervision of a fully-qualified doctor.

The practice will also shortly participate in the training of nursing students.
